WHAT WE DO
Beginner & Pre-Comp Squads
Every skater starts with a single push.
Our beginner to pre-competition development squads provide structured, supportive coaching for skaters of all ages. Designed to build confidence both on and off the board, our small-group format empowers both riders and parents to track real progress.
What Makes Our Squads Different:
Small Group Sizes: Capped at 10 participants per squad to ensure every skater receives direct, quality coaching.
No "Flying Blind": Detailed lesson plans are sent 48 hours prior to every session. This sets clear expectations and creates a predictable, comfortable environment for neurodivergent skaters and participants with additional needs.
Parent-Empowered Progression: We give parents the knowledge and tools needed to support their child's practice outside of scheduled sessions.
Personalised Homework: After every class, skaters receive a tailored practice plan highlighting specific skills to refine before the next session.

ADVANCED & COMPETITION Squads
Competitive Squads: High-Performance Athlete Development
Building sustainable pathways to success one goal at a time.
The Queensland Skateboard Academy adapts proven, high-performance athlete development models from top global sports codes and tailors them specifically for competitive skateboarding. Designed for athletes actively competing across Australia, our squads prioritise long-term, sustainable growth over short-term trophies.
We know that winning an U12 event doesn't automatically equal long-term success. Our focus is on steady, structured progression that builds genuine confidence, strategic season goals, and competitive resilience over time.
How We Drive Competitive Results:
Data-Driven Video Analysis: We utilise tools like LiveHeats Athlete IQ for in-depth video breakdowns and performance reviews after every competition.
Season & Competition Planning: Strategic run mapping, contest prep, and trick-selection tailored to specific event formats.
Skill Acquisition & Rankings Tracking: Continuous skill development linked directly to state and national ranking updates.
Individualised Training Plans: Every athlete receives detailed session plans and personalised training road maps to drive self-directed growth between squad sessions.
Brisbane Squads (Launching Term 4, 2026)
Weekly Beginner and Competition Squads will commence in Brisbane from Term 4, 2026. Groups are strictly capped at 10 students per squad to ensure quality coaching.
Regional Programs
We're bringing professional Brisbane coaches to regional areas through monthly visits! Once a region reaches a minimum threshold of 10 expressions of interest (EOIs), we will allocate a dedicated coach and launch the local squad.
